Lead Data Engineer

Job Type: Full-time

Location: S2N’s Denver or Boston Office, remote possible

The S2N team has leveraged their extensive market knowledge and cutting-edge data analytics capabilities for RepSignal, an AI powered customer intelligence platform for med tech sales teams to optimally target and engage high potential customers. Job Description:

Responsibilities for Data Engineer:

  • Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture,
  • Manage large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
  • Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and GCP ‘big data’ technologies.
  • Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics.
  • Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
  • Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product into an innovative industry leader.

Qualifications for Lead Data Engineer:

  • A successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large disconnected datasets.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
  • We are looking for a candidate with 5+ years of experience in a Data Engineer role, who has attained a Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or another quantitative field. They should also have experience using the following software/tools:
  • Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools: Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow, etc.
  • Experience with GCP cloud services: Cloud composer, Cloud SQL, Storage, etc
    • Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres and Cassandra.
    • Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc.

Job Description:

Responsibilities for Data Scientist:

  • Work with CTO to envision, develop and test new algorithms to be deployed in RepSignal that provide insights to customers on the platform
  • Identify and assess new sources of data that could be integrated into RepSignal
  • Perform ad-hoc data analytics requests as needed for the company and its clients
  • Assist with integration and quality control of data going into S2N’s cloud platform

Qualifications for Data Scientist:

  • A successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large datasets.
  • Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficency in at least one object-oriented/object function scripting language: Python, Java, C++, etc.
  • 0-2 years of experience in a Data Science or Data
  • Analytics role (including internships)
  • Has a Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Informatics, Information Systems or another quantitative field.
  • Detail orientation and organizational skills
  • Intellectual curiosity and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with the following is a plus:
    • Understanding of healthcare industry and related data, including claims, etc.
    • Relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres and Cassandra.
    • Data pipeline and workflow management tools: Airflow, etc., GCP cloud services: Cloud composer, Cloud SQL,Storage, etc

Healthcare Analyst Co-Op

Job Type: Full-time

Location: S2N’s Denver or Boston Office

Background:

S2N Health provides market and customer intelligence to healthcare technology companies with the goal of maximizing the impact of their innovations. The S2N team has leveraged their extensive industry knowledge and cutting-edge data analytics capabilities to develop RepSignal, an AI-powered customer intelligence platform for medtech sales teams to optimally target and engage high-potential customers.

Job Description:

Co-ops assist the S2N team with research and analytics in support of client engagements. Examples of co-op activities include:

  • Conducting secondary research on target patient populations and providers, existing and emerging competitors, and market trends for healthcare technologies
  • Reading and synthesizing clinical literature to understand current practice patterns, the standard of care, and performance requirements for novel therapies
  • Assisting with building financial and market models to size and prioritize commercial opportunities for innovative healthcare technologies in the US and other global markets
  • Assisting with creating economic models to quantify the value of healthcare innovations from the hospital, clinician, payer, and patient perspectives
  • Conducting qualitative and quantitative primary market research with clinicians and industry experts, including identifying relevant experts, structuring discussion guides, engaging in dialogue, and analyzing findings for relevance to client decision-making
  • Developing and delivering comprehensive PowerPoint presentations summarizing research findings and recommendations

Qualifications:

We are looking for individuals pursuing a rigorous undergraduate degree, in fields such as life science, biology, engineering, finance/economics, or business, and with a strong interest in the healthcare field, medical technology, business, and innovation. Also, we require:

  • Very strong analytical skills, quantitative and qualitative
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (in English)
  • Detail orientation and organizational skills
  • Ability and desire to work in teams
  • Intellectual curiosity and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to juggle simultaneous projects and responsibilities
